What is this site, and who runs it?

MBBS in China Q&A answers questions about studying medicine at a university in mainland China, for students from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal. The address says "MBBS", but the site covers medical study in China only.

Not an official site

This site is not run by, and is not affiliated with, China's Ministry of Education, India's National Medical Commission or NBEMS, the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council, the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council, the Nepal Medical Council, Nepal's Medical Education Commission, or any university. It does not accept applications and it does not decide who may sit an examination or be registered.

How answers are written

• Each of the 39 short answers restates one passage of a document published by a ministry or medical regulator, and links to it. There are 26 such documents.
• Universities are named only if they appear on the Ministry of Education's list. The list here is the 2023–2024 academic year edition (教外厅函〔2023〕10号), the most recent one the Ministry's index showed when it was read.
• Some regulators publish scanned documents. Where a page could not be read, the answer says the point is not covered and tells you to ask the regulator.
• The site does not publish pass rates, licensing rates or admission rates, does not rank universities or agents, does not quote fees it has not read in a university's own notice, and does not promise outcomes.

When a rule changes

Medical regulators issue new notices often. If an answer differs from the regulator's current document, the regulator's document is right.

Who runs it

The site is operated by UNILINK (UNILINK EDUCATION PTY. LTD), an education consultancy with operating entities in Australia, China and the United Kingdom. UNILINK advises students on study applications, including study in China. Reading the site is free.

Privacy

The site has no accounts and does not ask for personal details. The question sheet filter runs in your browser: what you type and the country you pick are not sent to us. The site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Pages are delivered through Cloudflare, which processes technical request data such as IP address and browser type in order to serve and protect the site. Links to regulators' documents open on their own sites, which have their own privacy policies.
