The newest annual MBBS list notice shown in China's Ministry of Education's policy index is the 2023–2024 edition, and no later edition was listed when this site read the index on 11 October 2026. That notice (教外厅函〔2023〕10号) is dated 15 May 2023 and was published on the Ministry's site on 30 May 2023. This page does not claim that no later list exists; confirm the current year's status with the university and the Ministry.

What the policy index showed
China's Ministry of Education keeps an open-government index of policy documents on study in China. When this site read it on 11 October 2026, the eleven annual MBBS list notices it carried were these (the date shown is the date each notice was put on the site, not the notice's own date):

Why the list is updated each year
The Ministry states that the list is annual.
Paragraph 1 of the Notice of the Ministry of Education issuing the Interim Provisions on Quality Control Standards for Undergraduate Medical Education in English for International Students (教外来〔2007〕39号), issued by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China on 10 July 2007, says that starting from the 2007/2008 academic year, enrollment of universities basically meeting the Interim Provisions is subject to plan management, and the enrollment plan is published every year.
A question-and-answer page of the Ministry of Education's Foreign-related Education Supervision Information Network, dated 8 May 2014, says that the Ministry updates the list and each school's enrollment plan every year. That page, as a 2014 statement, also says 48 institutions then had the qualification to receive international students in English-taught undergraduate clinical medicine.
How to check the current list
Read the Ministry's policy index and the current annual notice on the Ministry's site. Ask the university which notice its current intake rests on, and confirm the current year's status with both the university and the Ministry.
The 2023–2024 list (教外厅函〔2023〕10号) covers the 2023–2024 academic year only. Paragraph 1 of the notice says that for the 2023–2024 academic year the Ministry entrusted 44 universities to enroll international students in English-taught undergraduate clinical medicine, with a total enrollment quota of 3048 places.

Paragraph 4 of the 2007 notice (教外来〔2007〕39号) says the school list published then was a dynamic list and whether a school meets the requirements is assessed by an expert group and announced when the annual enrollment plan is issued.
Can a school not on the list enroll medical students?
Paragraph 4 of the 2007 notice (教外来〔2007〕39号) says schools not on the list may enroll medical students taught in Chinese, but the training standard must be the same as for Chinese students.
